DULUTH, Minn. – The Macalester College men's tennis team lost to the College of St. Scholastica, 6-3 in a non-conference dual Saturday afternoon. The Scots are now 2-1 on the season, while the Saints remain unbeaten at 4-0.

Peter Willenborg (Storrs, Conn./E.O. Smith) earned the Scots' lone point in doubles with an 8-4 win. In singles, junior
Josh Doyle (Cologne, Germany/Friedrich Wilhelm Gymnasium) made his 2017 debut with a win at No. 1 singles over Serhii Tykhonenko, 7-6 (11-9), 6-1. Wilson won his match over Trace Combs at No. 6 singles in three sets.
Macalester returns to action on Saturday, Mar. 4, facing Gustavus Adolphus and UW-Whitewater in St. Peter, Minn.
