LAKEVILLE, Minn. -- The Macalester College men's tennis team took on No. 19 nationally ranked Gustavus Adolphus in MIAC tennis action Saturday afternoon. The Scots fell to the Gusties, 7-2 after coming away with one singles win and one doubles win. Macalester falls to 6-5 overall this season and 1-1 in conference play. Gustavus improves to 17-6 overall.
Macalester's No. 1 player,
Josh Doyle had a successful day on the court, coming away with two wins. Doyle defeated Gustavus's Mohanad Alhouni 6-2, 6-2 in singles action. He paired up with Macalester No. 2 player,
Brian Utz to grab a win at No. 1 singles. The pair defeated Alhouni and Zach Ekstein, 8-6.
Macalester will return to action on Sunday, April 10 when they take on St. John's at noon at Mac's Hayden Courts.
