ST. PAUL, Minn. -- The Macalester College men's tennis team hosted Carleton College in MIAC action Saturday at Hayden Courts. The Knights took down the Scots to remain unbeated in conference play, winning 7-2. Macalester moves to 7-7 overall and 2-3 in the MIAC. Carleton is now 14-6 on the season and 6-0 in conference play.
Macalester earned its two points at the No. 2 and 3 singles spots.
Brian Utz defeated Andrew Qi 6-4, 3-6, 12-10 at No. 2 singles for the first win of the day. At No. 3 singles,
Aidan Tirpack defeated Ezra Frankel 6-4, 6-4.
Macalester will return to action tomorrow when they travel to Winona, Minn. to take on Saint Mary's University at 3 p.m.
