ON TAPAfter a 10-day hiatus from competition, Macalester is scheduled for three Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference matches this week.

The first of the trio involves a short drive north on Snelling Avenue, where the Scots are scheduled to take on Hamline at 4:30 p.m., Wednesday.

Friday, Macalester is scheduled to host St. Thomas at the Hayden Courts beginning at 4 p.m. and, Sunday, the Scots are slated to entertain Concordia beginning at 10:30 a.m.
LAST WEEKMaclester was idle after dropping a pair of MIAC matches, dropping a 6-3 decision to Saint Mary's, March 28, before falling, 8-1, at Saint Benedict.

Lily Stein moved up from four singles to three singles and took both of her matches to super tiebreakers, losing to Saint Mary's Megan Vandenberg, 6-1, 4-6, 10-6, before winning the Scots' lone match versus the Blazers, taking a 1-6, 7-6 (7-4), 10-5 win.

Stein teamed with
Gabby Queenan at two doubles to earn one of the Scots' three wins versus Saint Mary's as the duo claimed an 8-5 decision.
Katelyn Glenna and
Riley Menagh won at one doubles, 8-6, as Macalester took a 2-1 lead into singles play but could only get a 7-6 (7-4), 6-1 win from
Emily Fule at six singles in the 6-3 defeat.

HE'S THE BOSSJason Muhl is in his 11th year as the head men's and women's tennis coach at Macalester College.
In 2008, Muhl was named Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference women's tennis coach of the year after guiding the Scots to their best season in school history, and, in 2010, was picked as MIAC men's tennis coach of the year.
A former standout at St. Cloud State University, where he was team captain, Muhl previously coached at Burnsville High School, the Blake School and Eastview High School.
Muhl holds undergraduate degrees in recreation administration from St. Cloud State University, from where he graduated in 1997, elementary education from Bemidji State University, and a master's degree in educational leadership from Concordia University. He currently teaches elementary school in the New Prague School District.

Up NextMacalester is scheduled to play just once next week, travelling to Bethel for a 4:30 p.m., Tuesday, before a 10-day interlude preceding the Scots regular-season finale, April 25, at Carleton.
