LAKEVILLE, Minn. --Â Macalester swept the three doubles matches and cruised to a 7-2 win over Concordia at Lifetime Fitness in Lakeville.
The match was moved indoors due to late-day storms in the weather forecast and the Scots responded to being able to get back to action after Saturday's 8-1 loss at Gustavus Adolphus.
Josh Doyle continued his winning ways by earning a 6-1, 6-0 victory at two singles while pairing with
Wilson Merrell for an 8-2 win at two doubles. He has won seven of his last nine doubles matches and seven of his last eight singles matches while Doyle and Merrell are a team-leading 8-3 in doubles play.
Aidan Tirpack teamed with
Brian Utz for an 8-4 win at one doubles before earning a 6-3, 6-4 win at three singles.
At the bottom of the Scots' lineup,
Sam Naden and
Perry Campbell won their three doubles match, 8-0, before moving cruising to singles victories. Naden was a 6-0, 6-0 winner at five singles while Campbell won at six singles, 6-0, 6-1.
Macalester is on the road for its next three matches, a stretch which begins Thursday with a 4:30 p.m. match at Bethel.
