HILTON HEAD, S.C. --Â Perry Campbell paced Macalester by winning 20 of 21 games in singles and doubles play and the Scots wrapped up play in the Hilton Head Spring Tennis Festival with a 9-0 win over Albright.
Campbell teammed with Carl Bermann at number three doubles to post an 8-0 win before cruising to a 6-1, 6-0 victory at five singles.
Brian Utz was tested in both of his number one matches, In doubles, teamming with
Aidan Tirpack, the duo fought for an 8-6 win before Utz battled to a 7-6, 6-3 win in his singles match.
After the one doubles match, Tirpack went onto a relatively easy 6-1, 6-0 win at three singles.
Josh Doyle and
Sam Naden won 8-2 at two doubles before Doyle swept to a 6-0, 6-0 win at two singles and Naden won 6-0, 6-2 at four singles.
Travis Beach completed the 9-0 sweep when he won 6-0, 6-1 at six singles.
The Scots return home next Saturday for their first match at the Hayden Courts as they take on Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference foe St. Mary's in a 5 p.m. match.
