Macalester hosted St. John's  and dropped a 5-4 heartbreaker as the Johnnies bounced back from defeats two of three doubles matches to start off the contest.  The Scots drop to 6-5 on the season and 2-3 in MIAC play.
 
Mac's wins in singles play came at No. 2 and No. 3.  Alasdair McCintinc (Fy., Geneva, Switzerland / Phillips Academy (Mass.) won 6-0, 6-1 at No. 2 and teammate Max Soghikian (Sr., Piedmont, Calif.) claimed a 7-6, 2-6, 10-4 match at No. 3.
 
Playing to wins in doubles play for Macalester were McClintic and Brian Utz (So., Rochester, Minn. / Lourdes) at No. 1, and Soghikian and Wilson Merrell (So., Poughkipsie, N.Y. / Arlington) at No. 2.
 
The Scots jump right back into action Sunday (April 13) when they host Carleton for an MIAC match at 11:30 at Hayden Courts.
