Box Scores – Macalester vs.: Allegheny | St. Mary's | Frostburg State | Edinboro

Macalester split its four matches played over Spring Break in Hilton Head, South Carolina, going 2-2 on the week to push its overall record on the season to 4-5.  After being swept 9-0 by Allegheny (Pa.), the Scots beat St. Mary's (Md.) 5-4 and Frostburg State (Md.) 9-0 before closing with a 5-4 defeat to Edinboro (Pa.).

Alistair McClintic (Fy., Geneva, Switzerland / Phillips Academy (Mass.)) went 3-0 at No. 2 singles and Sam Naden (Jr., Middleton, Wis. / Middleton) was 3-1 at fifth and sixth singles to lead the way for Macalester.  Carl Bergmann (Fy., Mahtomedi, Minn.) and Paul Rebman (Sr., Wheaton, Ill. / North) combined for a perfect 3-0 mark at third doubles.  Max Soghikian (Sr., Piedmont, Calif.) was 2-1 at No. 3 singles and joined with Wilson Merrell (So., Poughkipsie, N.Y. / Arlington) to go 2-1 at No. 2 doubles.

The Scots play next Saturday (March 29) in an MIAC match at Concordia-Moorhead.  Mac is seeking its first conference win.
