Macalester evened its record at 2-2 on the spring campaign by rolling to a 9-0 shutout Saturday night over Northwestern-St. Paul in a non-conference match played at the Lifetime Fitness Club in Lakeville.  None of the singles or doubles matches were particularly close.

Picking up singles victories for the Scots were: Brian Utz (So., Rochester, Minn. / Lourdes) at No. 1; Alasdair McCintic (Fy., Geneva, Switzerland / Phillips Academy (Mass.)) at No. 2; Max Soghikian (Sr., Piedmont, Calif.) at No. 3; Carl Bergmann (Fy., Mahtomedi, Minn.) at No. 4; Sam Naden (Jr., Middleton, Wis.) at No. 5 and Paul Yeo (So., Temple City, Calif.) at No. 6.

Mac doubles winners were: Utz and McClintic at No. 1; Soghikian and Bergmann at No. 2; and Naden and Yeo at No. 3.

The Scots play next Saturday (March 8) in an MIAC match at Gustavus Adolphus.
