Macalester vs. Concordia box score
Macalester closed out its season on a positive note, beating Concordia-Moorhead 5-4 Tuesday night at the Hayden Tennis Courts. The Scots wrap up the campaign 8-8 overall and 3-6 in the MIAC.
The contest came down to the final match – No. 6 singles – where Mac's
Justin Margolies (Sr., Madison, Wis. / West) gained a 6-4, 6-4 victory.
Macalester also won at second, third and fourth singles against the Cobbers (8-9 overall / 3-5 MIAC).
Chris Fowler (Jr., Toronto, Ont. / Royal St. George's) won 3-6, 6-3, (10-7) at No. 2;
Max Edwards (So., Rochester, Minn. / Mayo) won 6-4, 6-3 at No. 3; and
Lewis Wilcox (So., Minneapolis, Minn. / Southwest) picked up a 6-3, 7-6 win at No. 5.
All three doubles matches were close, where the Scots gained an 8-5 decision at No. 3 from Fowler and
Max Soghikian (Fy., Piedmont, Calif.).
