Macalester vs. Gustavus box score

Macalester took on league power Gustavus, a team going for its 22nd straight MIAC title, and came out on the short end of a 9-0 score Friday night in St. Peter.  The Scots are now 3-1 on the season with their first defeat, and are 1-1 in the MIAC.

The Gusties took every singles match but had to work hard for wins over Michael Coleman (Jr., Westlake Village, Calif. / Agoura) at No. 2 and Titus Levy (Sr., New York, N.Y. / Fieldston School) at No. 3.  Mac's closest doubles loss was a 5-8 match at No. 3 by Max Edwards (Fy., Rochester, Minn. / Mayo) and Justin Margolies (Jr., Madison, Wis. / West).

The Scots play matches this weekend and next week over Spring Break at Hilton Head Island, South Carolina.
