ST. PAUL, Minn. – Macalester College seniors
Emily Bruce (Orleans, Ontario/Asbury College) and
Bailey Lengfelder, sophomores
Ava Austria (Portland, Ore./Catlin Gabel) and
Mia Cluff (Seattle, Wash./Roosevelt), and first year
Esther Shen (Barcelona, Spain/The Benjamin Franklin International School) were recognized as All-American Scholars by the Women's Golf Coaches Association for the 2025-26 academic year, the organization announced today.
This is the fourth year that Bruce and Lengfelder have earned the WGCA All-American Scholar award, while Austria is a repeat selection and Cluff and Shen are making their first appearances. Last month, Lengfelder and Austria were included on the Academic All-District Team and were joined on the Academic All-MIAC team by Bruce, Cluff and seniors
Scarlett Liu (Tampa, Fla./Tampa Preparatory) and
Sydney Ohr (Prospect Heights, Ill./John Hersey).
In order to be selected to the WGCA All-American Scholar Team, golfers must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.50, be an amateur and on the team's roster through the conclusion of the team's season, and have played in 50% of the team's rounds through the conference championship. This year, a total of 1,551 women's collegiate golfers across all divisions were recognized with the prestigious honor.
