FALCON HEIGHTS, Minn. – The Macalester College women's cross country team competed at the Roy Griak Invitational, hosted by the University of Minnesota Friday afternoon at Les Bolstad Golf Course. Running mostly against Division II teams, the Scots placed seventh overall and first among Division III schools.
Junior
Ingrid Norquist (Minneapolis, Minn./Anoka) was the first Macalester runner across the line, finishing 16th with a time of 23:41.7 over the 6000-meter course. Next for the Scots was sophomore
Kate Fox (Seattle, Wash./Roosevelt), placed 28th in 24:17.4. Juniors
Samantha Ellis (Intervale, N.H./Gould Academy) finished in 57th place, junior
Ivy Coldren (Frederick, Md./Urbana) took 76th, and first year
Aubrey Jensen (Floresville, Texas) finished in 84th to close out Macalester's top five.
The Scots are ranked sixth in the North Region after taking second at the Hamline Invitational last Friday.
Macalester will compete at the Blugold Invitational, hosted by UW-Eau Claire on Friday, Oct. 3 in Colfax, Wis.
