ST. PAUL, Minn. – Macalester College junior
Brady Thomas (Apple Valley, Minn./Shattuck-Saint Mary's School) of the men's golf team was named to the At-Large Division III Academic All-District Team by the College Sports Communicators (CSC), the organization announced today. This is the second year in a row on the Academic All-District Team for Thomas.
The CSC Academic All-America and All-District program honors student-athletes for excellence in both academics and athletics. Student-athletes must be a sophomore, junior or senior, have a cumulative grade-point average of 3.50 or higher and have competed in 90 percent of the team's total varsity events that were team scoring events or competed in the conference championships to be considered for Academic All-District and All-American accolades.
Thomas tied for 32nd at the MIAC Championships last October, helping the Scots to a sixth-place finish in the team standings. Over 12 rounds this season, Thomas posted a stroke average of 80.3. An economics and political science double-major, he also made the Academic All-MIAC Team last year.
