ST. PAUL, Minn. - Macalester College first year
Ariella Rogahn-Press (Albuquerque, N.M./Bosque School) was named the MIAC Women's Track Athlete of the Week today, as the conference announced its first weekly awards of the 2025 outdoor season. Rogahn-Press, who was chosen the MIAC Track Athlete of the Week three times during the indoor season, won the 400 meters and helped two relays place at the Wartburg Outdoor Select this past weekend.
In the 400 on Saturday, Rogahn-Press won by almost three full seconds, posting a time of 55.97. The performance currently ranks seventh in Division III and is just .44 seconds off of the school record of 55.53, set by
Hannah Sonsalla '18 in 2018. Coincidentally, Rogahn-Press' time on Saturday is the exact same time she ran in the preliminaries at the NCAA Indoor Championships on Mar. 14. She placed sixth in the finals the next day to earn All-America first team honors.
Also on Saturday, Rogahn-Press led the 4x400-meter relay team of junior
Hadley Wilkins (St. Louis, Mo./Whitfield School), senior
Anna Warren (St. Louis, Mo./Marquette) and sophomore
Seneca Wilson (Durango, Colo./Durango) to a fourth-place finish in 4:10.73, and the 4x100-meter relay team of Wilson and first years
Claire Beckley (Carlisle, Mass./Concord Carlisle) and
Emma Cunningham (Knoxville, Tenn./Farragut) to a sixth-place finish with a time of 49.72.
Rogahn-Press and the Scots will compete at the Bethel Invite on Saturday, April 12.
