PLATTEVILLE, Wis. - Four members of the Macalester College women's track & field team competed in the 5000 meters on Friday at the UW-Platteville Invitational.
Sophomore
Ivy Coldren (Frederick, Md./Urbana) was the first Scot across the finish line with a time of 18:28.41. The other three Macalester runners - sophomores
Samantha Ellis (Intervale, N.H./Gould Academy) and
Timna Nevo (Portland, Ore./Sunset) and senior
Sylvia Coyle (Wyoming, Ohio/Wyoming) - each ran personal bests in the 12.5-lap race. The event included a total of 134 competitors in five heats.
The rest of the Macalester women's track & field team competes on Saturday, April 12 at the Bethel Invite.
