ST. PAUL, Minn. – Four Macalester College women's swimming & diving team members were included on the Division III Academic All-District Team, as chosen by the College Sports Communicators. They are seniors Eleanor Petrin (Excelsior, Minn./Minnetonka), Natalie Pollock (Madison, Wis./Madison West) and Verity Wray-Raabolle (Owatonna, Minn./Bethlehem Academy), and junior Nadia Lanz (Bethesda, Md./Walt Whitman).

An economics major at Macalester, Petrin makes her first appearance on the Academic All-District team. She qualified for the MIAC Swimming & Diving Championships in three events this year, scoring points in the 100- and 200-yard butterfly. Petrin also has made the MIAC All-Academic team the past two years.

This is Pollock's third Academic All-District award. At the MIAC Championships this year, she swam on three All-MIAC relays, including the 400-yard freestyle team that finished first. Pollock also qualified for the A final in the 200-yard breaststroke, taking eighth. A member of the MIAC All-Academic team as a sophomore and junior, Pollock is a double major in English and philosophy at Macalester.

Wray-Raabolle joins Pollock as Macalester's other three-time Academic All-District honoree. In the pool, she had an outstanding year that culminated in qualifying for the NCAA Division III Championships in the 100-yard backstroke. The MIAC champion in that event, Wray-Raabolle earned All-MIAC in three individual events and four relays this year. An anthropology major, she earned a spot on the MIAC All-Academic team in 2023 and 2024.

A repeat selection on the Academic All-District team, Lanz finished fourth in the 400-yard individual medley at the MIAC Championships to receive All-MIAC honorable mention. She also scored points in the 200-yard backstroke and the 200-yard individual medley. Lanz, who also was named to the MIAC All-Academic team last year, is majoring in psychology and educational studies.

Student-athletes must be at a sophomore, junior or senior, have a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.50 and have either competed in five of their team's competitions or finished in the top eight at the conference championships to be considered for Academic All-District and All-American accolades.
