Box Score BLUFTON, S.C. - The Macalester College men's tennis team concluded its Spring Break trip to South Carolina with a 7-0 victory over Indiana University Southeast Thursday in Blufton. The Scots head north with a 2-1 record for the trip and a 7-3 record on the season.

Macalester won all three doubles matches handily to earn the doubles point. Seniors Liam Lynch (St. Paul, Minn./St. Paul Academy) and Alec Sargent (Rochester, Minn./Century) were victorious at No. 1 doubles by the score of 6-3, seniors Owen Lindstrom (Hanover, Minn./St. Michael-Albertville) and Lucas Wood (Urbana, Ill./University Lab School) earned a 6-2 win at No. 2 doubles, and first year Beckett Annes (Palo Alto, Calif./Palo Alto) and sophomore Kangyu Li (Shanghai, China/Shanghai Southwest Weiyu) won at No. 3 doubles, 6-3.

The Scots also swept the singles matches, with Lynch, Li, Lindstrom and senior Maxwell Davis (Warwick, Pa./Stone Independent School) winning in straight sets at third, fourth, fifth and sixth singles, respectively. Sargent downed Keith Asplund at No. 1 singles, 6-4, 4-6, 10-7, and Wood defeated Troy Gutgsell, 4-6, 6-3, 10-7 at No. 2 singles to complete the sweep.

Macalester returns to MIAC play on Saturday, Mar. 29 with a dual against Gustavus. The first matches begin at 6:30 p.m. at Baseline Tennis Center in Minneapolis.
