COLLEGEVILLE, Minn. — The Macalester College women's track & field team completed their final day at the MIAC Indoor Track & Field Championships on Saturday at Saint John's University. They finished the meet in seventh place with 52 points. The day included two All-MIAC performances for the Scots.

Sophomore Tessa Myatt (Chicago, Ill./Northside College Prep) shone the brightest for Macalester on the day with a first-place finish in the shot put. Her mark of 13.17m (43-2.5) is the best in program history and stands as the 31st-best distance in Division-III this season.

On the track, first year Ariella Rogahn-Press (Albuquerque, N.M./Bosque School) stood out for the Scots with a second-place finish in the 200m dash. Her time of 25.22 is yet another personal record for her, once again breaking her own school record this season. It was also one of three finishes in that race to break the facility record.

In the 1000m, first year Kate Fox (Seattle, Wash./Roosevelt) placed sixth for an All-MIAC Honorable Mention. She ran a personal record 3:03.24 in the race, the ninth-best time in program history.

Both of Macalester's relay teams for the day posted notable finishes as well. The 4x400m relay team of first year Claire Beckley (Carlisle, Mass./Concord Carlisle), junior Hadley Wilkins (St. Louis, Mo./Whitfield School), Fox and Rogahn-Press finished fifth with a season-best 4:08.46, the ninth-best mark in program history. The 4x200m relay team of Beckley, Wilkins, sophomore Seneca Wilson (Durango, Colo./Durango) and Rogahn-Press finished sixth with a season-best 1:47.55, the sixth-best mark in program history.

Some Scots will compete on Saturday March 8 in the Wartburg Final Qualifier in Waverly, Iowa. The whole team will return for the outdoor season in the same place on April 5 at the Wartburg Outdoor Select.
