ST. PAUL, Minn. - Macalester College first year
Ariella Rogahn-Press (Albuquerque, N.M./Bosque School) was chosen the MIAC Women's Track Athlete of the Week for the week ending Feb. 16, the conference announced today. This is the third MIAC weekly honor this season for Rogahn-Press, who was named the Track Athlete of the Week on Dec. 10 and Feb. 4.
On Friday at the Maverick Premier in Mankato, Minn., Rogahn-Press broke her own school record in the 400 meters with a time of 56.22, eclipsing her previous record of 56.67 set on the same track on Feb. 1. Later in the meet, Rogahn-Press ran a time of 25.23 in the 200 meters to break her previous record of 25.59 set on Jan. 25 at Macalester's Vanessa Seljeskog Classic. Her times currently rank fifth and 17th in Division III in the 400 and 200, respectively.
Macalester competes at the Tostrud Classic at St. Olaf on Friday, Feb. 21 in Northfield, Minn.
