MANKATO, Minn. — The Macalester College women's track and field team visited the Myers Field House for the Mark Shuck Open & Multi today, where they had multiple athletes post personal records against Division I competition.
The day's top performance on the track came from first year Ariella Rogahn-Press (Albuquerque, N.M./Bosque School), who won the 400m and broke her own school record in the process with a 56.67 finish. Rogahn-Press also logged the 83rd-best time in the 60m in NCAA Division III this season with a 7.94 finish. In the 5000m, sophomore Ivy Coldren (Frederick, Md./Urbana) finished second in 19:05.35. In the mile, six different Scots posted personal records, including sophomores Ingrid Norquist (Anoka) and Timna Nevo (Portland, Ore./Sunset) who clocked in at 5:32.81 and 5:33.05 respectively. First year Claire Beckley (Carlisle, Mass./Concord Carlisle) logged a personal record of 27.13 in the 200m.
In the field, sophomore Tessa Myatt (Chicago, Ill./Northside College Prep) logged a new personal record score of 2778 in the pentathlon. Myatt maintains her fourth-place position in that event in program history. Her pentathlon performance today featured a first-place finish in the shot put with a throw of 11.99m (39' 4").
The Scots return to indoor action on Saturday, Feb. 8 at Carleton's Meet of Hearts in Northfield, Minn.
