ST. PAUL, Minn. – The Macalester College women's cross country team is ranked sixth in the North Region in this week's U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association North Region rankings, which were released Tuesday. This is the fifth straight week at No. 6 for the Scots, who did not compete last week.
Since most teams did not race last week, the North Region rankings remained the same as the week before. UW-La Crosse moved into the top spot in the North Region ahead of Carleton and UW-Eau Claire. St. Olaf is fourth, followed by UW-Stevens Point, Macalester and Gustavus. Ripon, Concordia Wisconsin and UW-River Falls round out the top 10.
Macalester will compete at the Augustana Interregional Invitational on Saturday, Oct. 18 in Rock Island, Ill. The field includes several nationally and regionally-ranked teams from across the Midwest.
