HAM LAKE, Minn. – The Macalester College men's golf team competed at the Augsburg Fall Invitational this weekend at Majestic Oaks Golf Course Saturday and Sunday. The Scots finished in eighth place out of 14 teams in the team standings with a two-round score of 315 324-639.
Macalester was led by first year
Liam Sarmiento (Sioux Falls, S.D./O'Gorman), who tied for 23rd with a score of 157. Junior
Brady Thomas (Apple Valley, Minn./Shattuck-Saint Mary's School) tied for 38th at 161, while junior
Harry Cheng (Taipei, Taiwan/Heping Municipal) and sophomore
Theo Jones (Port Washington, N.Y./Roslyn) tied for 40th with identical scores of 162. Sophomore
Jean Fabre (Grasse, France/Fenelon Institute) tied for 49th, first year
Aaron Cheng (Mountain View, Calif./Taipei American School) tied for 55th and first year
Rio Pearlstein (Needham, Mass./Milton Academy) tied for 71st.
Macalester returns to action next weekend, Sept. 7-8, for the Minnesota Golf Classic at Pioneer Creek Golf Course in Maple Plain, Minn.
