ST. PAUL, Minn. – The Macalester College women's track and field competed in the first day of the Rider/Bolstorff Invitational today at Macalester Stadium. Today's events consisted of the 5000m run and the hammer throw.
First year
Ivy Coldren (Frederick, Md./Urbana) led the Scots, earning points in the 5000m run. Coldren took fourth with a time of 18:39.89. Fellow first years
Destiny Osemwengie (Buford, Ga./Peachtree Ridge) and
Timna Nevo (Portland, Ore./Sunset) finished ninth and tenth respectively. Osemwengie's time of 19:27.94 is a personal record. In the hammer throw, first year
Jessica Lin (Bedford, Mass./Bedford) finished 15
th with a mark of 40.34m (132' 4").
Macalester continues competition in the Rider/Bolstorff Invitational on Saturday April 27.
