Ivy Coldren (Frederick, Md./Urbana) led the Scots, winning the 3000m Steeplechase.
Coldren set a personal record with a time of 11:50.33 to claim victory. This mark is the fifth best time in Macalester history. Fellow first year
Samantha Ellis (Intervale, N.H./Gould Academy) took sixth with a time of 12:46.66. In the 200m dash, senior
Penelope Hunter (Granville, Ohio/Granville) took fifth with a time of 27.02. First year
Elise Edison (Chelmsford, Mass./Gould Academy) set a personal record in the 400m dash (1:00.69) to finish third. Fellow first year
Destiny Osemwengie (Buford, Ga./Peachtree Ridge) also scored points for the Scots today, taking sixth in the 800m with a time of 2:30.79. In the 1500m, first year
Timna Nevo (Portland, Ore./Sunset) finished fourth with a personal best time of 5:07.10. In the 5000m, seniors
Maggie Froh (Milwaukee, Wis./Rufus King International School) (20:04.59),
Mariah Loeffler-Kemp (Duluth, Minn./Duluth) (20:05.42), and
Adrienne Korey (Chicago, Ill./Jones College Prep) (20:11.29) took fifth, sixth, and seventh respectively. In the 4x400m relay, Hunter, Edison, Osemwegie, and first year
Seneca Wilson (Durango, Colo./Durango) finished fourth with a time of 4:25.98.
In the field, first year
Jessica Lin (Bedford, Mass./Bedford) finished eighth in the hammer throw with a personal best mark of 40.88m (134' 1"). This mark is the fourth best mark in Macalester history. Fellow first year
Brooke Boroughs (Monroe, Wash./Monroe) took third in the javelin throw with a mark of 31.36m (102' 10"). In the long jump, first year
Tessa Myatt (Chicago, Ill./Northside College Prep) finished fourth with a personal best leap of 4.93m (16' 2.25") while fellow first year
Harmony-Keli Tomety (Northbrook, Ill./Glenbrook East) finished seventh with a mark of 4.66m (15' 3.50"). Myatt also finished third in the shot put with a mark of 11.71m (38' 5").
Senior
Sarah Beth Hobby (South Pittsburg, Tenn./St. Andrew's-Sewanee School) competed in the first day of the heptathlon. She finished third in the 100m hurdles (17.22), third in the 200m (30.08), second in the high jump (1.50m (4' 11")), and first in the shot put (11.18m (36' 8.25")). She finishes out the heptathlon tomorrow.
Macalester's next meet will be Thursday April 25 and Saturday April 27. The Scots host the Rider/Bolstorff Invitational.
