MANKATO, Minn. – The Macalester College women's track and field sent athletes to two meets this weekend. Two Scots competed in the 5000m at the UW-Platteville Invitational on April 12 and the rest of the team competed at the Minnesota State Open.
At the UW-Platteville Invitational, first year
Ivy Coldren (Frederick, Md./Urbana) took 60
th with a time of 18:06.86. This time is the eighth best time in Macalester history. Fellow first year
Timna Nevo (Portland, Ore./Sunset) finished 104
th with a time of 19:16.94.
At the Minnesota State Open, first year
Brooke Boroughs (Monroe, Wash./Monroe) took eighth in the javelin throw with a mark of 35.16m (115' 4"). Fellow first year
Tessa Myatt (Chicago, Ill./Northside College Prep) took 13
th in the shot put with a mark of 11.81m (38' 9"). In the 1500m, first year
Destiny Osemwengie (Buford, Ga./Peachtree Ridge) took 13
th with a time of 5:19.29.
Macalester's next meet will be Saturday April 20
th at the Saint John's Invitational in Collegeville, Minn.
