WAVERLY, Iowa – Three Scots of the Macalester's women's track and field team competed at the Good Friday Challenge today, hosted by Wartburg College, to open the outdoor season.
In the 3000m Steeplechase, first year
Ivy Coldren (Frederick, Md./Urbana) took fifth with a time of 11:58.55. Coldren's time ranks 10
th all-time in Macalester history and currently ranks 43rd in Division III. Fellow first years
Destiny Osemwengie (Buford, Ga./Peachtree Ridge) and
Timna Nevo (Portland, Ore./Sunset) competed in the 1500. Osemwengie took 26
th with a time of 5:18.27, while Nevo took 30
th with a time of 5:25.00.
The rest of the Scots head out to Waverly, Iowa on Friday April 5 to compete in the Outdoor Select hosted by Wartburg College.
