Box Score ORLANDO, Fla. – The Macalester College men's tennis team took on Ithaca today down in Orlando, for the second match down in Florida. The Scots competed hard, but fell 6-3. Macalester is now 2-6 (1-1 MIAC).
Slated at No. 4 singles, junior
Lucas Wood (Urbana, Ill./University Lab School) won his match 6-1, 6-4. The Scots also took the point at No. 6 singles by the same score, with first year
Kevin Mortimer winning the match. At fifth singles, senior
Lewis Jolly (Grinnell, Iowa/Grinnell) also won in two sets, 6-1, 6-3. The Bombers took all the points for the three doubles matches, as well as at first, second, and third singles.
Macalester's next match is Wednesday March 13. The Scots play Roger Williams at 8:30 am CDT in Lakeland, Fla.
