Box Score ORLANDO, Fla. – The Macalester College men's tennis team played its first match down in Orlando today against Ohio Northern. The Scots fell in a 6-3 decision. Macalester falls to 2-5 (1-1 MIAC).
Junior
Alec Sargent (Rochester, Minn./Rochester Century) won the point for the Scots at No. 1 singles. He defeated his opponent 6-2, 6-3. At second singles, fellow junior
Jordan Doi (Mililani, Hawaii/Mililani) also won in two sets, 6-3, 6-4. Senior
Lewis Jolly (Grinnell, Iowa/Grinnell) scored Macalester's third point at fifth singles, (7-6, 6-4). The Polar Bears took the points at third, fourth, and sixth singles. All three doubles points also went to Ohio Northern.
Macalester's next match is Tuesday March 12. The Scots play Ithaca College at 8:30 am CDT in Orlando.
