NORTHFIELD, Minn. – The Macalester College women's track and field team finished out the MIAC Indoor Track & Field Championships today in Northfield, hosted by St. Olaf. The Scots finished seventh overall with 39.50 points.
First year
Diarra Chatham (Woodbury, Minn./East Ridge) took fourth in the 200m dash today with a time of 26.25. This is a personal best for Chatham and the fourth-best mark in school history. The 4x200m relay team of first years
Elise Edison (Chelmsford, Mass./Gould Academy) and
Harmony-Keli Tomety (Northbrook, Ill./Glenbrook East), sophomore
Zoe Carver (Saint Paul, Minn./Mounds Park Academy), and senior
Penelope Hunter (Granville, Ohio/Granville) took sixth with a time of 1:50.63.
In the field, first year
Tessa Myatt (Chicago, Ill./Northside College Prep) set a personal record in the shot put of 12.28m (40' 3.5") for a fourth-place finish. Her mark is the fourth-best all-time at Macalester.
Bethel won the meet with 158 points.
The Scots' next meet will be the Wartburg Final Qualifier on March 1-2 in Waverly, Iowa.
