NORTHFIELD, Minn. – The Macalester College men's swimming & diving team competed in a dual meet at St. Olaf, losing in the team scoring, 180-103. Sophomore
Charles Batsaikhan (Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia/East Chapel Hill) won two individual events for the Scots.
Batsaikhan was victorious in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:01.28. He also won the 200-yard breaststroke in 2:17.11 and placed third in the 400-yard individual medley in 4:38.76. First year
Dylan Herlihy (Reading Mass./Phillips Academy Andover) won the 1-meter diving event with a score of 113.10. Sophomore
Isaac Kisker (Dayton, Ohio/Oakwood) took first in the 50-yard freestyle in 22.29.
First year
TJ Palli (Maple Grove, Minn./Maple Grove) finished second in the 200-yard freestyle (1:51.37), the 50-yard freestyle (22.85) and the 100-yard freestyle (50.19). Sophomore
Jay Fanning (Tiffin, Ohio/Columbian) turned in a runner-up finish in the 1000-yard freestyle with a time of 11:14.87.

Casey Meretta (Potomac, Md./Winston Churchill) in the 100-yard backstroke and 100-yard butterfly, first year
Alec Chen (Edina, Minn./Edina) in the 100 breaststroke, first year
Kynan DeSouza-Chen (Boulder, Colo./Fairview) in the 200-yard butterfly, sophomore
Adam Schroeder (Altadena, Calif./St. Francis) in the 100 freestyle, and Fanning in the 500-yard freestyle.
Macalester hosts Grinnell College on Saturday, Jan. 28 in the final home meet of the season. The Scots will honor their seniors before the meet.
