Earned Academic All-MIAC honors… Registered personal bests in the 200-yard freestyle and 1650-yard freestyle at the MIAC Championships on Feb. 15-18… Placed third in the 500-yard freestyle at the Roger Ahlman Invitational on Dec. 2-3.

2021-2022
Received Academic All-MIAC honors... Made six top 10 performances... Placed fourth in the 200-yard freestyle in a time of 1:58.75 and placed third in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:20.61 at the Ahlman Invitational on Dec. 3.

How has your experience as a student-athlete at Macalester helped shape you as an individual?
While I am junior and have been at Macalester for the past two years, this will be my first year as student-athlete. I have thoroughly enjoyed my first two years at Macalester and I've had the great opportunity to meet so many new people while taking engaging courses. These experiences have led me to cross paths with a number of people on the Macalester swimming and diving team. I'm eager to see how being a student-athlete shapes my continued Macalester experience!

How has your experience as a student-athlete at Macalester prepared you for life after graduation?
My experience as a student-athlete has been invaluable. Unlike the group projects we often partake in during our classes, I had to put in a great deal of effort to foster my relationships within this team to ultimately find my stride. Our ability to come together in support in and out of meets is a testament to the hours of bonding time we spend during practice and even outside of that. This kind of relationship to a group of people is one that I have never experienced before, so I will absolutely be looking to make these kinds of connections when I move on to life after graduation.
