SARTELL, Minn. – The Macalester College men's golf team played in the two-day Saint John's Fall Invitational, held Saturday and Sunday at Blackberry Ridge Golf Course and St. Cloud Country Club. The Scots finished 10th in the team scoring.
First year
Harry Cheng (Taipei, Taiwan/Heping Municipal) was Macalester's low scorer with a 156 to tie for 37th. Senior
Tommy Hayes (Chicago, Ill./Whitney M. Young Magnet) and first year
Brady Thomas (Apple Valley, Minn./Shattuck-St. Mary's) were one shot behind Cheng to tie for 39th.
Ryan Vaver (Lafayette, Colo./Centaurus) shot a 158 to tie for 44th, while first year
Ben d'Entremont (Cranston, R.I./Moses Brown School) wrapped up the Scots' top five in 50th with a two-round score of 160.
Macalester will play in the Twin Cities Classic on Sept. 24-25 in Elk River for the final competition before the MIAC Championships.
