St. Paul, Minn. – The Macalester College men's cross country team will compete in four events spanning Minnesota and Wisconsin, leading up to the MIAC Championships on Oct. 29. The Scots will begin their season at the Ole Opener, hosted by St. Olaf, in Northfield on Friday Sept. 2.
On Sept. 9, the Scots will head to Highland National Golf Course for the MIAC Preview Meet, hosted by Hamline. The course is located just under three miles away from Macalester's campus. Macalester's other pre-MIAC Championship races will be in Wisconsin. The Scots will travel to Colfax, Wis. for the BluGold Invitational hosted by UW-Eau Claire on Sept. 30, and then on Oct. 15 head to West Salem, Wis. for the UW-La Crosse Jim Drews Invite.
The MIAC Championships will be held at the Highland National Golf Course as well. The Scots will look to improve upon their eighth-place finish from the 2021 season. St. Olaf will host the NCAA North Region Meet on Nov. 12 with qualifiers advancing to the NCAA Division III Championships on Nov. 19 in East Lansing, MI.

Cole Peske (Sussex, Wis./Hamilton),
Peter Rachlin (Brookline, Mass./Brookline), and
Lachlan Witt (Kinnelon, N.J./Morris Catholic).
