COLFAX, Wis. – The Macalester College men's cross country team wrapped up the 2025 season with a 12th-place finish at the NCAA North Region Meet, hosted by UW-Eau Claire at Whitetail Golf Course. The Scots scored 351 points, five points back of Carleton and one better than Saint John's.
Sophomore
John Ihrke (Northbrook, Ill./Glenbrook North) led Macalester by taking 43rd with a time of 25:56.9 over 8000 meters. Senior
Tyler Edwards (Beaverton, Ore./Oregon Episcopal) was next, finishing 56th in 26:07.3. Both Ihrke and Edwards earned All-MIAC two weeks ago after finishing in the top 15 at the MIAC Championships.
First year
Chase Fitterer (Spokane, Wash./International School of Business) was the third Scot across the finish line in 72nd with a time of 26:20.6. Junior
Daniel Wiltse (Missoula, Mont./Hellgate) was next in 83rd (26:34.9), with junior
Owen Lafferty (Woodbury, Minn./Mounds Park Academy) closing out the five Macalester scorers in 98th (26:59.4). The Scots' spread between their top five runners was 1:02.
Senior
Jordan Galloway (Portland, Ore./Grant) and sophomore
Caleb Hatlevig (Stow, Mass./Francis W. Parker Charter Essential School) also competed for Macalester, taking 101st (27:05.7) and 114th (27:32) respectively.
