ST. PAUL, Minn. – Macalester College junior
Tenley Smith (Williamstown, Mass./Mount Greylock Regional) was chosen to the All-MIAC team, as the conference announced its season-ending awards for women's golf today. Also, senior
Izzy Hebert (Westminster, Colo./Legacy) was included on the MIAC All-Sportsmanship Team.
Smith posted the team's lowest average of 81.7 over four events and nine rounds this spring. A pair of 79s helped tie Smith for sixth place at the MIAC Preview on April 10-11. Smith also shot a season-low 75 en route to a tie for ninth at the Battle at the Creek on April 17-19. At the MIAC Championships April 30-May 2, she tied for 23rd overall and shot a 77 in the second round. Last season, Smith tied for 13th at the conference tournament and received All-MIAC honorable mention.
The team's lone senior, Hebert provided leadership to the Scots' young team. Her best rounds this spring were her first and last rounds, both finishing with an 82. As a sophomore, Hebert had the team's best three-round score and helped the Scots take seventh at the MIAC Championships that year.
