ST. PAUL, Minn. – The Macalester College women's soccer team played its second of three exhibition matches on Saturday, losing to St. Catherine University, 2-0 at Macalester Stadium.
The loss came on a quick turnaround for the Scots, who defeated St. Olaf, 2-1 on Friday night before taking on the Wildcats for an 11:00 a.m. start this morning. St. Kate's found the net in the game's first six minutes, then scored an insurance goal with four minutes remaining in the game. Junior goalkeeper
Dana Gustafson (Ames, Iowa/Ames) played well, making key saves to keep the Scots in the game.
Macalester returns to action on Sunday, April 2 with an exhibition game against Hamline University. The game starts at 12:00 p.m. at Macalester Stadium.
