WINONA, Minn. – The Macalester College men's golf team competed in the Mac-Mary Dual Thursday afternoon at The Bridges Golf Course in the first competition of the fall. The Scots lost the dual, 324-342.

Senior Jack Buan (Osseo, Minn./Wayzata) shot a 76 to pace the Scots and take second overall. Next up for Macalester was sophomore Alex Young-Williams (Arlington, Va./Yorktown), followed by first years Davis Cheney (Neenah, Wis./Shattuck-St. Mary's) and Jim Smith (Shippensburg, Pa./Shippensburg).

Macalester will participate in the Augsburg Fall Invitational Sept. 2-3 at Majestic Oaks Golf Course in Ham Lake, Minn.
