ST. PETER, Minn. – The Macalester College women's tennis team dropped a MIAC dual at Gustavus Adolphus, 9-0 Saturday afternoon. The Scots are now 3-2 overall and 0-2 in the conference, while the Gusties remain unbeaten on the year at 7-0 overall and 3-0 MIAC.
The closest matches came at fourth and fifth singles. Junior
Lily Stein (Winnetka, Ill./New Trier) lost her battle with Cal Carlson at No. 4 singles, 7-5, 7-6. Sophomore
Jessica Ilc (Niles, Ill./Maine East) came up short at No. 5 singles against Katie Aney, 5-7, 6-2, 10-8.
Macalester heads to Orlando, Fla., on Mar. 11 for four duals over Spring Break, beginning with a dual against Gettysburg College on Mar. 12.
