FARGO, N.D. – The Macalester College women's tennis team defeated Concordia College, 9-0 in a MIAC dual Sunday afternoon at Courts Plus. The Scots are now 4-11 overall and 1-7 in league play, while the Cobbers fall to 0-16, 0-10.

Macalester swept the doubles matches, with sophomore Maegan O'Herin (Grand Rapids, Mich./Northview) and first year Della Brown (Chicago, Ill./Univ. of Chicago Laboratory Schools) winning at No. 1 doubles, 9-7. Senior Rachel Seidner (San Antonio, Texas/International School of the Americas) and first year Jessica Ilc (Niles, Ill./Maine East) won their match at No. 2 doubles, while sophomores Nina Brim (Portland, Ore./Cleveland) and Lily Stein (Winnetka, Ill./New Trier) were victorious at No. 3 doubles.

In singles play, Brown, Stein, Ilc, Brim, Seidner and O'Herin each won their matches in straight sets to help the Scots win their first conference dual of the season.

Macalester hosts Hamline University in another MIAC dual on Thursday, Apr. 28 at Hayden Courts.
