ARDEN HILLS, Minn. -- Macalester won at number two doubles and two of the top three singles matches but Bethel put the match away with wins a 4-6 singles to claim a 6-3 victory in a Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference match at the Ona Orth Complex.
Gabby Queenan and
Riley Menagh won their match at two doubles, 9-7, but the Royals won at one and three doubles to take a 2-1 lead into singles play.
Katelyn Glenna gave the Scots a 6-0, 6-4 win at one singles and
Lily Stein picked up a 6-0, 6-3 win at three singles but the Royals won four of the six singles matches to put the victory away.
Macalester has 11 days before wrapping up the season with its final match, April 25, at Carleton. The match, originally scheduled for 2 p.m., has been moved up to 11 a.m. due to scheduling conflicts.
