ON TAPMacalester will take on Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference foes Saint Mary's and Saint John's this weekend.

The Scots will host the Cardinals, Saturday, in a rescheduled match. The teams were slated to square off at 5 p.m. at Macalester's Hayden Courts but will now be indoors at the University of Minnesota's Baseline Tennis Center. The start time for the match remains 5 p.m.

Sunday, the Scots will travel to Sartell, Minn., to take on the Johnnies in a 1 p.m. match at the Fitness Revolution Tennis Center.
LAST WEEKThe Scots won three of four matches at the Hilton Head (S.C.) Spring Tennis Festival, posting a trio of 9-0 wins.

Macalester shut out Farleigh Dickinson-Florham, Monday, Messiah, Wednesday, and Albright, Friday, and dropped a 6-3 decision to Allegheny, Wednesday.

At the top of the Scots lineup was
Brian Utz, who didn't drop a set in four matches at number one singles while going 3-1 at one doubles, winning two of three matches with Carl Bermann before finishing up the week by pairing with
Aidan Tirpack for an 8-6 win versus Albright.

Bergmann, after three matches with Utz, combined with
Perry Campbell, playing his first doubles match of the season, for an 8-0 win versus Albright to post a 3-1 doubles record on the week.

Josh Doyle gave the Scots a potent 1-2 punch as he went 8-0 playing two singles and two doubles. He won all three of his doubles matches with
Wilson Merrell, with whom he has posted a 7-1 record on the season, before teaming with
Sam Naden for an 8-2 win over Albright to end the week.

Merrell went 5-1 on the week, winning all three of his doubles matches with Doyle while going 2-1 at four singles.

HE'S THE BOSSJason Muhl is in his 11th year as the head men's and women's tennis coach at Macalester College.
In 2008, Muhl was named Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference women's tennis coach of the year after guiding the Scots to their best season in school history, and, in 2010, was picked as MIAC men's tennis coach of the year.
A former standout at St. Cloud State University, where he was team captain, Muhl previously coached at Burnsville High School, the Blake School and Eastview High School.
Muhl holds undergraduate degrees in recreation administration from St. Cloud State University, from where he graduated in 1997, elementary education from Bemidji State University, and a master's degree in educational leadership from Concordia University. He currently teaches elementary school in the New Prague School District.

Up NextMacalester will be off for nine days before returning to action, April 9, with a match versus Snelling Avenue foe Hamline. That match is scheduled for a 4:30 p.m. start on the Pipers' home court.
