HILTON HEAD, S.C. --Â Macalester saw it's record fall back to .500 but the Scots did not go down without a fight in a 6-3 loss to Messiah.
For the second match in a row,
Lily Stein was a double winner, teamming with
Gabby Queenan for an 8-2 win at number two doubles before winning her four singles match, 6-2, 6-3.
Riley Menagh turned in Macalester's other win on the day at three singles, claiming a 6-3, 6-7 (1-7), 10-8 victory.
Both Queenan and
Katelyn Glenna battled through the top two singles matches. Glenna, at one singles, was defeated 6-3, 6-3 while Queenan lost a 6-3, 7-6 (7-5) decision.
The Scots return to action this afternoon in a rescheduled match as they will take on St. Norbert.
