ST. PAUL, Minn. -- Alex Rack scored Macalester's lone individual victory and the Scots' 200-yard freestyle relay was also victorious but it wasn't enough to overcome Grinnell's depth in the Pioneers' 165-60 victory.

Rack won the 200 individual medley, posting a time of two minutes, 17..46 seconds as Macalester's only entrant in the event.

The Scots' youthful 200 freestyle relay posted a time of 1:34.82 in their win. The quarter was bookended by sophomore lead leg Luke Bower and sophomore anchor Peter Bertel. In between were a pair of freshmen in Sam Glean and Ian Lock.

The Scots will take next weekend off in preparations for the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Invitational as a prelude to the MIAC Championships. The Conference Invitational is slated for Feb. 6-7 and will be hosted by St. Thomas.
