Competed on eighth-place 200 medley, sixth-place 200 freestyle, and seventh-place 800 freestyle relay teams at 2016 MIAC Championship meet… Serves as advocacy chair for the National Campus Leadership Team for Relay for Life and Colleges Against Cancer and as co-chair for the Macalester chapter… Earned Academic All-MIAC honors.

Why did you choose to attend Macalester?
I chose Macalester because I wanted to be in a place that valued both academics and service. My extra-curricular activities in high school were nearly as important as my academics, and I wanted to continue this throughout my college experience. I also came to Macalester to be a part of such a diverse community in both people but more importantly experiences.

What has your experience at Macalester meant to you so far?
Macalester has been a community that has fostered growth in both my academics and work ethic, but also the perspective by which I view the world. There are such a wide range of people who are willing to talk and share their stories and backgrounds. To learn how everyone ended up here is truly incredible.

How has your experience as a student-athlete at Macalester helped shape you as an individual?
Being at athlete at Mac has forced me to become efficient thorough in my academics and focused when it comes to competition. Being dedicated to the present has been incredibly important in being a student-athlete here at Mac.  

How has your experience as a student-athlete at Macalester prepared you for life after graduation?
Exercise is an incredibly important part of being healthy and staying happy.
