The Scots ended their season in a rough defeat by the hands of Carleton on Sunday afternoon in Lakeville. Macalester fell 9-0 to the Knights, who finished the regular season with a conference championship and unbeaten MIAC record.
 
The Scots will end their season with a 2-8 record in conference play and 4-13 overall.
 
No. 2 Carmen Whitehead (Greeley, Colo. / West) was the only woman to send the singles matches into a third set tiebreaker. She won the first set 6-3, before losing the second set 2-6, and tiebreaker 2-10.
 
Fellow senior companions Kayleigh Roach (Sr., DeForest, Wis. / DeForest) and Sarah Couser (Sr., Middleton, Wis. / Middleton) also closed out their Macalester tennis careers Sunday afternoon. Both were swept in straight sets in the singles competition.
 
Macalester will return their No. 1 singles competitor Katelyn Glenna next season.
