Longtime MIAC power Gustavus cruised to a 9-0 women's tennis victory over the Scots Saturday night in St. Peter.  Macalester suffers its sixth straight defeat and drops to 1-6 overall, 0-3 in MIAC play, going into its Spring Break trip March 16-20 in South Carolina, while Gustavus (which swept Concordia-Moorhead earlier in the day) is 5-1 overall and 2-0 in the league.

Mac's closest match came at No. 4 singles, where Gabby Queenan (Jr., Bedford, Mass.) fell to GAC's Aryn Eckstrom 3-6, 6-7.

After playing its four Spring Break matches, Macalester returns to MIAC competition March 29 at Concordia-Moorhead.
