Macalester vs. Hamline box score

Macalester closed out the season with its third straight triumph , beating the Hamline Pipers 8-1 Tuesday at HU.  Last weekend, the Scots toppled St. Mary's and Concordia by identical 6-3 scores to set up their three-game season-closing win streak.

The Scots close out at their 2013 winter/spring season at 5-12 overall and 3-7 in the MIAC.

All singles wins came in straight sets.  Gaining victories were Paige Schaefer (Sr., Madison, Wis. / East) at No. 1), Katelyn Glenna (So., Winona, Minn.) at No. 2, Carmen Whitehead (Jr., Greeley, Colo. / West) at No. 3, Gabby Queenan (So., Bedford, Mass.) at No. 4 and Rachel Seidner (Fy., San Antonio, Tex. / International School of the Americas) at No. 6.

Schaefer winds down her excellent Mac career with 39 career singles wins.

Glenna and Whitehead won 8-5 at first doubles, Schaefer and Queenan won 9-8 (7-4) at second doubles, and Seidner and Kayleigh Roach (Jr., DeForest, Wis.) won 8-6 at third doubles as the Scots came out on top of three competitive matches.
