Complete meet results

Macalester hosted St. Olaf for an MIAC dual meet Saturday at Riley Pool and were defeated 214-48 by the Oles, last year's conference runners-up.

The Scots swam to five third-place finishes on the day, including a couple produced by Ted Metz.  Metz placed third in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:29.38) and added another third-place effort in the 200 individual medley (2:13.21).

Also gaining third-place finishes were Ben Kromash(Fy., Chicago, Ill. / Whitney M. Young) in the 1000-yard freestyle (11:13.29), Alex Rack (Fy., Swarthmore, Pa. / Strath Haven) in the 100 back (1:01.20), Wojciech Michno (So., Domsjo, Sweden / United World College – Red Cross Nordic) in the 50 free (23:59) and Walter Benson (Fy., Amherst, Mass. / Amherst Regional) in the 500 freestyle (5:13.13).

The Scots are back in the pool next Friday and Saturday (Jan. 18-19) at the Grinnell (Ia.) Invitational.
