Scots return to action with 6-3 win over Bethel

Coming off a three-week hiatus, Macalester dominated the singles competition to topple Bethel 6-3 at the 98th Street Lifetime Fitness Club in Bloomington.  The Scots were 5-1 in singles play and are now 8-10 on the season and 1-7 in the MIAC.  They've won three of their last four matches and four of six.

The Royals started the match by claiming two of the three doubles matches, with Macalester winning 8-5 at No. 1 behind the efforts of Katelyn Glenna (Fy., Winona, Minn.) and Carmen Whitehead (So., Greeley, Colo. / West).

Winning singles matches for the Scots were Glenna at No. 1, Paige Schaeffer (Jr., Madison, Wis. / East) at No. 2, Alicia Roopchand (Fy., Woodbridge, Conn. / Amity Regional) at No. 3, Whitehead at No. 5 and Lucy Miner (Sr., Seattle, Wash. / Ballard) at No. 6.

Macalester takes on Hamline next Saturday (April 21) at St. Paul Highland Park High School.
